Photo: Agility Robotics

Three key points

  1. Agility Robotics named Nyobolt as the battery technology provider for Digit 5, its humanoid designed to work close to people.
  2. The new battery system targets 90 minutes of runtime and a 9-minute charge, a 10:1 run-to-charge ratio, up from Digit 4's 2:1.
  3. Mark Vale is expected to chair the audit committee after the merger closes; the announcement does not mean the listing is complete.

Story summary

Agility Robotics named Nyobolt as the battery technology provider for Digit 5, its humanoid designed to work close to people. The new battery system targets 90 minutes of runtime and a 9-minute charge, a 10:1 run-to-charge ratio, up from Digit 4's 2:1. Agility says this lets Digit work more than 20 hours in a 24-hour day, with early access to Digit 5 on Nyobolt batteries expected in the first half of 2027. The company also says its business combination with Churchill Capital Corp XI is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, after which it is expected to trade on Nasdaq as AGLT; it is not listed yet. Follow-up checked 19 October: the company says the S-4 became effective on 13 October, with a merger vote scheduled for 2 November. Trading as AGLT is conditional on approval and closing; SEC effectiveness is not an investment endorsement. On 19 October, Agility announced that Mark Vale is expected to join the board and chair the audit committee after the merger closes. Bruce Leak and Matt Ocko stepped down. More than 65,000 real-world Digit operating hours is a company-reported figure, not confirmation that the listing has completed.
